Through the Lens: Rarefied Air

Ski and snowboard photographers are always on the hunt for that dynamic shot that captures a moment of pure bliss. A deep, fluffy, powder-spraying turn. A perfectly carved arc atop a pristine groomer. A silhouette against a vibrant sunset. But perhaps no image better illustrates the extreme (and downright fun) nature of the sport than a cliff huck. Fortunately for Tahoe photographers, the boulder-strewn mountains in their backyard offer ample launching opportunities, while the region is home to plenty of talented skiers and riders who are capable of executing such airborne feats for the camera.
