Tahoe real estate prices saw gains nearly across the board in 2014 according to statistics released by Chase International Real Estate. In Truckee, the median price of a single-family home rose from $510,000 in 2013 to $595,000 in 2014—just 8 percent behind 2007’s peak of $645,000. Elsewhere, median prices of single-family homes in the Tahoe Basin saw slower recovery. Condominium prices on the East Shore showed great gains in 2014, with the rest of the region seeing moderate increases.
